7. You asked:

1Cor 11:3

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

(Does Paul not say that man has authority over woman, that Christ has authority over man and God has authority over Christ?) Please answer.

a. Yes, Paul says all of these things.

b. This is an excellent example that shows the distinction between man and woman as being a matter of different appointments or offices and not a matter of different substance or nature.

c. Clearly, man and woman are of the same nature and substance (In fact women came from man), but man has a greater authority, a greater position, office, or appointment than women have.

d. Likewise, the Father is greater than the Son while, at the same time, being of the same nature and substance as the Son (i.e. "God").
