1.  You now admit that your bible (the NWT) has entire verses and words missing, but it seems as if you haven't read my proofs_that_Jesus_is_God - or that you are simply ignoring them.  So, I would like to address one point at a time in this email of yours until we have thoroughly resolved each point consecutively.

2.  In this email you continue to say things that are simply false.  You wrote, "Mike, Jesus never said he was God, nor did His Father".

3. Terry, I am asking you to set aside what you have been told by the Watchtower and to do two things for me: READ and THINK

a. In Hebrews 1:8 GOD said: "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."  Your statement was completely untrue.  Contrary to what you stated, this plainly says that God, himself, called Jesus "God".

b. In John 1:1,14 GOD said: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word as with God, and the Word was God...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us."  In response to this, you wrote, "John says here that the word [Jesus] had a beginning and was with God."

1) Again, your statement is untrue.  This does NOT say that Jesus had a beginning, Terry.  It says that Jesus WAS in the beginning and that Jesus WAS God. (You ignored the last part of the verse.)  It says that he was "with" God because he was the Son of God, one of the (three_persons_in_the_ONE_Godhead_called_"God"), and it says that he "was" God because he WAS God.

2) By saying that the WORD had a beginning, you have completely ignored what the plain words in this verse actually say – that he WAS in the beginning - and you completely ignore other verses, including Micah 5:2 which say that this WORD, born in Bethlehem, has been "from everlasting."  "From everlasting" means that he did NOT have a beginning. But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. (Micah 5:2)

3. Both of these prove that your statement was blatantly untrue.  The bible DOES call Jesus "God" and Jesus, the Word, HAS BEEN "from everlasting" (even though, at his incarnation - the flesh itself - had a beginning). The bible says that "God" was manifest in the flesh (I Tim 3:16).  Jesus WAS GOD "in the flesh", "Emmanuel" - "God" with us. (Matt 1:23)

4. There are many other verses that prove Jesus was God too, but if you are going to ignore the plain text of these verses - "Thy throne, O God" and "the Word was God" (when you already admit that Jesus is the Word), then there is no use in quoting any of the others - especially if you choose to believe the NWT, a bible that you admit has entire verses and words missing from it, and that I have proven (if you had taken time to read it) comes from the very Catholic church that you despise – by way of the Catholic Vaticanus and Sinaiticus manuscripts and the writings of Westcott and Hort.

5. So, please acknowledge that your statement was untrue. I would like to move on to the next points.

Mike.

The "Berean Research Institute" is a scripture-based, family-oriented area of cyber-space wherein men, women and children can research beliefs and doctrines that impact their assembly, ministry and/or personal lives.

We encourage all to fear God and to keep his commandments by searching the scriptures daily and by being doers of the word.

Many people today claim to be Christians, disciples of Jesus, but fail to continue in his word as commanded in John 8:31, and therefore are deceiving even themselves.  (James1:22)  The result of such deception will be exclusion from the Kingdom of God (Matt 7:21-23 and Matt 25:8-12).

Not everyone ... shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Matt 7:21)

If you consider yourself to be a Pentecostal, Baptist, Catholic, JW, Adventist - even a life-long one - and are convinced that you are on your way to heaven, we encourage you to consider some of the biblical doctrines that we examine in these articles and videos - and be SURE that you are on your way to heaven.

That is our ultimate goal for you - that every one of you obtains eternal life!!
